Volunteers to assist with
Set Construction 2014

If you are handy with a hammer or paint brush or know somebody who is and have some spare time we would love to see you at our Set Construction Site.

Where:

Hobsons Bay Community Workshop, 280 Queen St, Altona

When:

Mondays and Wednesdays: 5 pm – 9 pm
Saturdays: 10 am – 4 pm (Lunch will be provided on Saturdays)

2014 Season:

We start out our 2014 Season with ‘GYPSY’!

GYPSY opens 2 May and runs to 17 May so we are already starting the build process down at our set building workshop. We would love to have you down to help out as we have a short time to complete the set for this production and a lot of scenery to build. Any help will be appreciated and all skill levels are welcome.

Next up will be our Junior Production. This year’s show is ‘PETER PAN JR..’ Peter, Wendy and the Lost Boys will be arriving on stage 8 August and stick around until 17 August. We will announce plans for building Neverland once meetings with the Set Designer have commenced and we have a sense of the scenery requirements.

Closing out the season this year will be the Australian Premiere of ‘FRANKENSTEIN – A NEW MUSICAL’. This Australian Premiere opens 7 November and runs to 22 November.

This year we will running our set building schedule a bit differently than we have before. We are going to take shorter breaks between shows and try to ‘build ahead’ so we have a more regular and predictable build schedule. This means we will likely start building ‘PETER PAN JR.’ soon after we finish with ‘GYPSY’.

So, if you are keen to be involved with some amazing shows and have a lot of fun, come down to our workshop! Again, all skill levels are welcome. If you have friends or family who you think might enjoy a bit of theatre, please feel free to share this information.
