There is currently no scheduled skill share workshops until further notice.
However, be a part of the team that brings WMTC productions to life! No matter your experience or availability we would love to have you involved.
The WMTC Costumiers meet every Tuesday evening from 7.30pm to 10.30pm throughout a production rehearsal period for an evening or weekend sewing session and catch up, or (if it better suits your lifestyle) you can assist from home.
We are always keen to hear from people with specialist experience in costume design, construction, pattern making and millinery.

Glenn Membry
Saturday 25th August 2018: 12.30pm-3.30p
Come and join the waistcoat wizard, Glenn Membrey, and learn how to construct a simple vest.
Glenn will guide you through techniques including both double and single breasted, full lining, and welt pocket construction.
Participants will get to apply their skills creating a full costume waistcoat for WMTCs upcoming production Side Show.

Sunday 9th Sept 2018 – 9.30am to 12.30p
Costumier Katrina Stanley specialises in couture for performance, Katrina has mastered the art of working with tulle and of stoning her garments with literally thousands of crystals and would love to share this technique with other costume lovers.

Laura Houlden
Sunday 23rd July 2017 – 1.00pm to 3.00pm

In this workshop Laura will teach you how to wield the tools to conquer knitted and crochet fabrics. You will learn how to connect constructed fabrics, add embellishments, create form and shape using knit and crochet techniques. The session will introduce:

Come and have some fun, learn from Chi who will show you how to create useful and unique items with Mouldable Plastic! It’s easy to use, just soften with hot water and mould with your hands. From costume, craft, cosplay, DIY, fixing things, you are only limited to what you can imagine!!
