ABOUT OUR JUNIOR PROGRAM:
Established in 2011, Williamstown Musical Theatre Company’s junior program is open to young performers aged between 8 – 18 years old and aims to provide them with high quality creative learning experiences in the theatre arts. A positive, supportive and fun environment is encouraged to promote and develop self-respect, confidence, awareness, imagination, creativity, determination and social skills in young people. Cast members also develop discipline, memorization techniques, motor skills, coordination, and many other crucial foundation skills through creative dramatics and, in doing so, enhance their self-esteem, grace, and poise, both onstage and off.

Developed with the intention of sharing our passion for musical theatre with children and teens so that they, in turn, can continue this creative tradition as teachers, performers and arts patrons for generations to come.

We are delighted to be bringing you ENCORE 2023, a celebration of talent, featuring some of the several decades of company Alumni returning to the Williamstown stage.

Founded with the purpose of cultivating continued interest and participation in musical theatre, we are proud of our long line of alumni, and continually find inspiration from their achievements, interests and actions.

Showcasing memorable moments of times gone by, as well as a collection of hits from the modern day musical, ENCORE 2023 has something for everyone.

For some of the cast, it has been a very long time since they last threw on the ol’ character shoes and stepped out into the spotlight.
No doubt there will be some very deep breaths backstage followed by broad smiles on faces, as they step out on stage to give it another go.

“JUST TO GET YOUR NAME IN LIGHTS!”⭐️
Preparations are underway for what is shaping up to be a BUSY few days of auditions. The production team have been working tirelessly behind the scenes, making sure that their vision for the production of The Boy From Oz is clear, concise, innovative and spectacular, however true to the original and already remarkable concept. “Performing in a space such as the Centenary Theatre has it’s limitations, but only if you work against them. Embracing the small and intimate nature of the theatre has been the driving inspiration behind the basic concept of this production - a raw and emotionally charged nostalgic journey in to the life of Peter Allen, where the audience feel like they’re being taken on a very personal and intimate ride.”

As spots are filling very quickly for auditions, make sure to book yours today so you don’t miss out! We are looking for a very diverse cast of all ages, genders, sexual orientations and identities, size, disability and cultural backgrounds.

For all audition information, click the following link and make sure to call 1300 881 545 to secure your audition time TODAY. Limited spots available.

THE BARBER SHOP HAS CLOSED FOR BUSINESS 🥧💈🔪
What an absolute treat it was to bring audiences our production of SWEENEY TODD and even though our season was sadly cut short, we are just brimming with pride from positive reviews and feedback we received on the production. WMTC would thank each and every person who attended a performance, we are truly, truly, humbled.

Throughout the season we shared a number of photos from our spectacular production, but must also acknowledge the team that don’t appear in these photos, our 'killer' orchestra and our many company volunteers that create our costumes, build and dress our sets, invent props (if only you knew what those pies and blood were made of), move our sets around the stage, shine lights, and especially keep a rowdy cast in order. WE THANK YOU!

As a final farewell to SWEENEY TODD we present our group shots for you to enjoy, the cast, cast & production team, our orchestra and costume team! WMTC’s SWEENEY TODD played for 6 performances November 2022 @ Williamstown’s Centenary Theatre #wmtc

Williamstown Musical Theatre Company is proud to present The Witches of Eastwick running from the 8th to 23rd May 2015 at the Williamstown Mechanics Institute Theatre.

Comedy, drama and horror all come together in John Dempsy and Dana P. Rowe’s musical adaptation of The Witches of Eastwick. In the sleepy New England town of Eastwick, our three (not-so-wicked) witches Alexandra Spofford, Sukie Rougemont and Jane Smart are divorcees feeling trapped in their everyday humdrum lives. One stormy night, high on martinis and brownies, they make a crazy wish – for a man to make their own. But their wish has consequences they could never have dreamed…

A few days later, the mysterious and charismatic Darryl Van Horne arrives in Eastwick with a bang, taking over the local historical mansion to the horror of town doyen and president of the Eastwick Preservation Society, Felicia Gabriel. The stranger from New York wastes no time in seducing the three women, and setting them free to plan their revenge on the conservative town. Darryl encourages them to find the magic within themselves, and they finally ‘fly’ across the New England night.

But too much of a good thing can’t last forever…soon Alex, Jane and Sukie must face the consequences of their newfound passion for Darryl and the magic he can teach them. Felicia Gabriel and her Husband Clyde are the unfortunate victims of their power. When Darryl is deserted by his ‘three little ladies’, he turns his attentions to Clyde and Felicia’s daughter, Jennifer and soon a wedding is announced. Shocked, the three women must harness their power and face down the devil in disguise…
