Williamstown Musical Theatre Company is proud to present the Australian Premiere production of CATCH ME IF YOU CAN running from the 6th to 21st May 2016 at the Williamstown Mechanics Institute Theatre.
Based on the 2002 hit film of the same name starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Tom Hanks. CATCH ME IF YOU CAN captures the astonishing true story of Frank Abignale Jr, a world-class con artist who passed himself off as a doctor, a lawyer, and a jet pilot, all before the age of 21.
Seeking fame and fortune, precocious teenager Frank runs away from home to begin an unforgettable adventure. With nothing more than his boyish charm, a big imagination and millions of dollars in forged cheques, Frank lives the high life and wins the girl of his dreams. But when Frank’s lies catch the attention of FBI agent Carl Hanratty, Carl pursues Frank across the country to make him pay for his crimes.
Nominated for 4 TONY Awards including Best Musical, this high-flying musical comedy, featuring a swinging-sixties score, is all about chasing your dreams and not getting caught.
